We’re open all day every day, and late on Thursdays, Fridays and Saturdays for food, coffee, wine, and more.

This is how we eat: simple, straightforward food and coffee all day, and something a bit more serious in the evenings.

Salads, sandwiches, nibbles all day – great coffee, maybe a cake. And then in the evening some proper cooking and some great wines – some days something light, some days a feast!


Our evening menu of small plates changes frequently, with a focus on British, seasonal ingredients. Thoughtful, fresh cooking with a middle eastern bent. 





We don't take reservations for daytime tables.


On weekends at peak times there may be a wait for tables, but get your name on the list - the wait is never too long.

About Mat and Jess

4 years ago, Mat and Jess left perfectly sensible careers to open a little deli on a corner in Highbury. The deli quickly turned into a cafe and restaurant, and due to their codependence and controlling natures they haven't left that corner for more than a few hours since.
